About

Here's a little story of how this site came to be.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create the opportunity for open dialogue regarding sensitive topics that might not be easy to address so that the next generation of youth feel confident in asking questions and discovering who they are. Many people have battled their fair share of depression and this is in part due to current social stigmas and a lack of shared resources regarding issues that impact everyone. By not talking about these things we end up isolating ourselves, when often times there's a significant amount of people going through the same exact struggles.

Our goal is to make a positive impact on young people from all walks of life. By reassuring people that they are never alone, helping them realize their self-worth, potential, capabilities, and passions, we hope to accomplish this goal. If we truly believe in ourselves, then there is no limit to what we will be able to accomplish.

About Alana

Alana Nicole Kikanani Godoy was the Miss Pacific Islander of San Diego Princess 2017-2020. She's of Native Hawaiian descent and was born and raised in San Diego, CA with her 3 younger siblings. She grew up dancing in the Polynesian community since she was 3 years old and  grew a strong passion for raising awareness of Pacific Islander social issues and culture. With a double associates in Sociology and Anthropology from Southwestern College and currently attending San Diego State University, she's pursuing her goals of making a positive impact in the Pacific Islander community. She's received many leadership and honor awards including PIFA Scholarship Awards, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Honors, and more. She's been a proud member of PIFA, Hui O' Hawai'i, Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, Tau Sigma National Honors Society, SDSU's Mortar Board, and has completed her fellowship with APPEAL's SPARC Program. Alana has spent her entire adult life attending school and working full time while balancing other commitments including volunteering, serving as Miss Pacific Islander of San Diego, dancing with Kaleo Onalani, spending time with her friends and family, and creating, maintaining, and advancing the Sincerely, Alana brand.

"I hope that through my dedication to raising awareness on social issues and promoting Pacific Islander culture, I can make a positive impact in the community and help at least one person in the process."
